Acorn is currently recruiting for a Fire Systems Design Engineer – Nuclear
New build project
12 month rolling contract
£30-£35 per hour (Inside ir35)
Location: Remote working / Occasional business meetings at Bristol Office

The role:
* Main responsibilities include reviewing client documentation to ascertain the fire detection and alarm system requirements.
* The post holder will then be responsible for designing a compliant system and creating the supporting documentation for this, to include; drawings, schematics, s and electrical calculations.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
* Experience designing Fire Detection & Alarm systems in accordance with BS5839-1:2017.
* Bonus: FIA training in the above.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D (or similar) drawing software (this is a big part of the role, circa 50%)
* Bonus: Experience using 3D software, Navisworks, Revit etc.
Additional preferable traits applicable to the role include:
* Good Office knowledge (Word, Excel etc)
* Happy to work from home.
