Bookkeeping Assistant

Reports to Accounting Manager

Performs a variety of administrative duties related to the documentation that contribute to the professional, friendly, and profitable operation of the financial operations of the business.

Job tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Bookkeeping Assistant

· Provide administrative support to Accountant

· Assist in preparing and maintain AP and AR

· Process, prepare and record invoices and vendor bills

· Enter data, maintain records, and create reports

· Maintain an accurate and organized file system

· Answer calls and other administrative duties

· Document processes in office

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office, QuickBooks

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Requires periods of working behind a desk and documenting work

• Requires lifting 15 lbs without assistance

Work Environment

Work is performed in a boat yard, which can subject workers to loud levels of noise, fumes, debris, tripping hazards and sharp metal edges. Personal protective equipment will be provided to staff, but personnel are responsible for ensuring that the equipment is properly used and for being aware of their surroundings.
