Looking for an Entry Level Accountant for a small firm with a great opportunity to grow.

Some of the responsibilities will include the following: Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Income tax preparation for both businesses and individuals. Research of tax situations and solutions. Responding to correspondence from regulatory agencies.

• Tax Preparer Duties: Scan and enter clients’ tax information in Drake tax software, enter progress into accounting management software

• Bookkeeping Duties: Weekly, Monthly, and Annual bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and data entry for various clients.

• Payroll Duties: Work with firm clients for payroll deposit calculations, quarterly and annual reports, and year-end 1099 reporting.

• Applicants should possess these strong skills listed as follows: Excel, Word, QuickBooks, communication, writing, accuracy, organization, analytical skills and willingness to learn.

Experience:

• Bookkeeping 1 year (Preferred)
• Tax Preparation 1 year (Preferred)
• QuickBooks 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule:

• Tax Season (January – April) Monday – Friday

• Non – Tax Season (May – December) Monday – Friday
• 30 to 50 Hours per week
