OVERVIEW:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) directs, leads and oversees the financial operations of the company including company financial planning and activities, debt financing, budget management, directing preparation of current financial reports and forecasting future growth predictions. The role is immersed in details and complexities of financial functions where tactical actions take place while balancing the strategic aspect of the position. This position provides focus to accounting and finance functions ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with applicable laws/regulations, policies and generally accepted accounting principles. The work produced by this position and the respective departments is essential in projecting a favorable company image and demonstrating cost-savings across the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. Oversees entire company budget ensuring complete fiscal responsibility including evaluating financial and operating performance of international operations. Partners with Corporate in overseeing and monitoring the entire company’s financial results and corresponding budget for complete fiscal responsibility. Acts as company liaison with Corporate, internal/external counsel and accountants.
• Monitors the month-end close of each fiscal period as well as the financial submission of financial data to Corporate.
• Creates and presents reporting to executive leadership, corporate and external audiences. Represents the company internally to Corporate staff as well as track management. Represents the company in efforts with investment bankers and potential investors. Prepares financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions. Manages vendor relationships.
• Develops and utilizes forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
• Oversees daily operations of the Finance/Accounting department.
• Directs and coordinates audits and proper filing of tax returns. Conducts research ensuring all departments are following IRS guidelines.
• Develops internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash/credit management and accounting. Provides recommendations for procedural improvements. Assists in balancing operational and financial systems in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and documentation.
• Oversees applicable fiscal transactions and may record details in applicable financial systems. Prepares or directs preparation of financial statements (including but not limited to) income statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets and/or reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Recommends and analyzes benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. Continually monitors, investigates, plans and develops long term economic trends and business opportunities as they become available for the growth and development of the business
• Serves on planning and policy-making committees.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements.
• This position does have supervisory/management for 10+ team members in multiple locations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of ten to fifteen (10-15) years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position with a CPA
• Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficient in database and automated financial/accounting reporting systems and proficient computer skills to create calculations and reports
• Business acumen in understanding program operations and finance and how this role contributes to the business
• Expert ability to analyze finance data and prepare financial reports, statements and projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $300,000.00 per year
