Job Description

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day financial activities, including the supervision of data entry clerks to ensure that financial records are accurate and up to date, and report to the Accounting Manager.

Job duties include

Reviewing invoices for proper general ledger coding daily

Ensuring all purchase orders and invoices have been entered into the accounting software daily

Reviewing and releasing batches of invoices entered by data entry clerks daily

Direct supervision of data entry clerks

Processing recurring vouchers weekly

Preparing AP Aging as part of check run weekly

Process credit card vendor payments weekly

Review vendor statements weekly

Reconciling payments to vendors and subcontractors with operations software weekly

Preparation of cost overruns weekly

Reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger monthly

Resolving issues with subcontractors and vendors as needed

Requirements

Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent

2 to 5 years’ experience in booking and preparation of financial statements

Familiarity with inter-company transactions and project accounting

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel)

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL or Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems

Ability to prioritize large volumes of transactions

High attention to detail
