SEMI-SENIOR ACCOUNTANT in BICESTER, OXFORDSHIRE – JO24958

Accountancy Elite are delighted to be partnered with an established firm in Oxfordshire looking to add to their practice family with a semi senior accountant.

This is an amazing opportunity for a practice accountant who can be at any experience level between recently AAT Qualified right up to part ACCA qualified who ideally has a little experience in audit (although this isn’t essential) who is looking for a firm where there are opportunities to grow and progress as well as be involved in all areas of general practice accountancy. Please see below for the rough role overview, PLEASE NOTE that the main area of experience should have been with year end accounts in a practice environment and all other experience my client is flexible on.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
·Preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns for limited companies and groups.
·Preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders, draft income tax computations.
·Preparation of management accounts for a variety of clients.
·Involvement in other compliance matters such as VAT returns.
·Involvement in on-site audits shadowing a senior team member performing a variety of duties (Roughly 20% of the role).
·Maintenance of strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Candidate Attributes:

·AAT qualified and studying ACCA/ACA with 2 years UK practice experience as a minimum.
·Experience preparing year end accounts and associated tax computations for Limited companies/Sole traders and Partnerships.
·Ideally have some exposure to Audit work but this is not essential.
·Good knowledge of cloud accounting software.
·Possess good IT & communication skills.
·Ability to work to strict deadlines and within budgets.
