The project is linked to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Program, which reiterated the concept of balancing the three pillars of sustainable development – economic, social, and environmental-in order to avoid poverty in all forms and provide access to food, health, education, and other necessities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree required;
• PhD’s degree is preferred;
• Teaching experience with teaching;
• Ability to develop innovative curriculum in line with course objectives;
• Expertise in academic area and use of technology in classroom;
• Ability to relate to rural project participants with diverse backgrounds;
• Ability to motivate students toward academic endeavors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Identify, prepare and organize course materials and learning resources for the course
• Instruct and help students learn. Provide academic assistance in a variety of learning situations while remaining current in area of professional expertise and in teaching
• Develop, modify, and continuously improve, course outlines, curricula, evaluation procedures, and instruments before the class starts
• Prepare and record one hour lecture for once a week with presentation slides, and reading materials. Share the screen of your materials while teaching.
• Upload recordings along the materials after each session to the main google classroom of the

University

• Sharing additional materials about the course(s) to enhance the student’s knowledge
• Give discussion minutes to students for class participation, attendance for each session and submit course related assignments to the students.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• Your qualifications must include successful completion of a Master’s Degree.
• Ability to self-start, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast- paced work environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, technical skills, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English is required; the ability to speak a second UN language is a plus.

Interest in and a basic understanding of international affairs, the United Nations and its organs.

• Capacity to work in multicultural settings, develop solid and productive working relationships, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable, independent, and creative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
• Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel,

Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.

• Familiarity with E-Learning systems (Open Educat, Google Education, others) is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
