Education Specialist
PAY RATE: $22.71 per hour
LOCATION(S): multiple
WORK YEAR: 12 months
WORK HOURS: Generally Monday through Friday, generally 8:00am – 3:30 pm, with some evening and weekend work required.
JOB SUMMARY: Assures and promotes the delivery of early childhood development, disabilities, and mental health services by supporting staff in implementing, maintaining, and adapting a curriculum which facilitates children’s growth and learning; coordinating services for children with special needs; supporting the role of parents as primary educators; monitoring program outcomes; coaching and mentoring staff; and contributing to quality assurance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelors or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education -OR- Bachelors or advanced degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in early childhood education or related area.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Current driver’s license with safe driving record
EXPERIENCE:
Early education teaching experience required. Three years early education teaching experience preferred. Coaching/mentoring experience preferred.
