We require an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team based in the company’s head office at Surfers Paradise. This role represents an opportunity to join a very friendly and open team environment where you can take ownership of the role. While the coordination of the day-to-day Accounts Payable processes is a central component of this role, success will be based on your ability to hit the ground running to process high volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

About the role*
Reporting to the Hotel Accountant with a dotted line to the Financial Controller, the role will cover the responsibilities of:

• Processing high volume invoices with purchase orders for multiple hotels and cost centres
• Accurately coding all invoices to correct general ledger accounts
• Draw all creditor payments on a timely basis, Australian and foreign currency including Funds transfers and manual cheques
• Raise Inter-company and external recharge invoices
• Reconcile creditor statements on a monthly basis
• Allocate all manual cheques in accounting software once drawn
• Assist with end of month accruals and balance sheet reconciliation’s

Key Skills and Requirements
To be successful for this role you must meet the following criteria:

• You will possess strong Accounts Payable experience in a high volume role
• Working knowledge of a previous Accounts Payable system
• High attention to detail, great organisation skills and accuracy with a track record of working to deadlines
• Basic Word and Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• General Ledger Knowledge an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to start immediately if possible
