The Opportunity

Access Health and Community (AccessHC) is a not for profit community health organisation, with a 150 year history of supporting communities in Eastern Melbourne. With caring at our centre, our mission is to build healthier lives within our communities and deliver excellent health and community services for all. We have over 300 employees and 200 volunteers who are part of our team, operating in over 17 locations across Melbourne.

Our people are at the centre of everything we do at AccessHC. To ensure we are delivering a great experience for them, we are creating a new autonomous specialist role with the People and Culture team. Reporting directly to the Executive Lead People & Culture, this role will support AccessHC attract talented people to our organisation. The Talent Acquisition Lead will partner with leaders across the organisation to understand the workforce needs, develop and implement talent acquisition strategies, conduct proactive sourcing for priority roles and support leaders to implement best practice hiring strategies.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with leaders, map current and projected workforce needs, and identify business critical priority roles.
• Work with leaders to establish and review position descriptions and candidate profiles for critical roles.
• Develop and implement best-practice talent acquisition strategies.
• Establish a compelling value proposition to attract candidates.
• Review and refine job advertisements to ensure these reflect our value proposition.
• In partnership with Communications, establish and implement internal and external marketing strategies, including establishing online channels and an internal referral program.
• Build relationships with recruitment agencies, industry body associations, and Universities to support talent acquisition.
• Conduct proactive sourcing and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process for identified priority roles, inclusive of shortlisting and interviewing of candidates.
• Build a talent pool of potential candidates for skills shortage.
• Provide regular reports to leaders on talent acquisition activities.
• Provide leadership and coaching to Managers and Senior Managers on recruitment best practice.
• Ensure recruitment policies and procedures reflect best-practice and legislative and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of five years of experience in a recruitment role, either in-house or in an agency environment
• A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related Business discipline
• Experience in the health and social care sector preferred

• Experience interpreting industrial agreements within health and social care sector preferred

Remuneration

• The annual salary for this position is approx. $90,000- $95,000 base, plus superannuation and access to non-profit salary packaging that reduces tax payable on income.
