The Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing dedicated support and collaboration across the entire Logistics Department to ensure critical tasks are completed timely to avoid disruption in the flow and receipt of goods.

The focus will be on scheduling all inbound delivery appointments, import inbound tracking, and entering planned outbound shipments into the Oracle Transportation Management Systems.

Job Description : Education :

Education :

• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or, equivalent years of related work experience preferred

Work Experiences :

• Up to 3 years of logistics, Distribution Center, or transportation experience preferred
• Customer Service experience preferred

Skills :

• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes to ensure efficient use of our customer’s time
• Able to prioritize to ensure daily / weekly scheduling is current
• Demonstrated experience using Transportation Management Systems
• Previous experience and basic knowledge of purchase order, logistics, inventory management and transportation
• Very strong attention to detail for data entry
• Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills
• Basic knowledge of inventory flow and transportation / logistics

Responsibilities :

• Schedule inbound delivery appointments for each Distribution Center according to their availability and their maximum per day allotment with excellent customer service skills to develop co-operative working relationship with our internal and external customers
• Produce and distribute daily DC delivery ing of inbound to ensure real time visibility of ever-changing environment
• Work to ensure delivery appointments are completed within the KPI’s
• Tracking of import shipments to ensure delivery orders are created and submitted to carrier partners timely to avoid delay in delivery and / or additional cost
• Partner with outbound managers and analyze tasks to create a streamline process for creating and tendering outbound store deliveries loads in Oracle TMS system
• Monitor outbound load tender acceptance to ensure outbound loads are shipped accordingly and TMS system is current with status of the load
• Contribute to the development of continuous improvement across all aspects of the Logistics Department
• Support peers in gathering data to provide details for decision making opportunities
• Collaborate to create standard SOPs for primary functions within the Logistics Department
• Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned
