Master Teacher for National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

Academic Leadership Charter School, Bronx, NY seeks a Master Teacher for grades 5-8 to work in conjunction with the School Principal and School Leader to teach students to attain their highest potential and help teachers improve their craft.

Job Description:

–Provide instruction to students implementing the school’s curriculum in the four core subject area- Literacy, Social Studies, Mathematics & Science- minimums of 50% of school day.

-Provide colleagues with coaching and professional development to improve pedagogy and significantly improve student performance as measured by significant student growth by all populations including SPED and ELL students

– Collaborate with parents and assist classroom teachers to establish, foster and sustain a culture of academic success and social-emotional development through strong partnership with parents

Qualifications:

– A minimum of 4-6 years teaching experience

– High standards and proven track record of success

– Exceptional analytical, written and oral communication skills

– Graduate of a competitive college – degree in English preferred or Science and Mathematics, technologically proficient with a high college GPA

Salary $80,000-$95,000 with room for further advancement and growth based on proficiency, performance and proven ability in effecting social/cultural relations in the school

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
