Academic Achievers Hiring for Educational Therapist Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Academic Achievers is seeking to add an Educational Therapist to our roster of exceptional teachers. We are specifically looking for an ed. therapist or special needs teacher to work with an elementary student in student’s home on the west-side or mid-city.
Applicants should have an Ed Therapist Certification or Special Education Credential and training in therapeutic reading programs such as Lindamood-Bell, Orton-Gillingham, or Wilson. Teacher must be able to work with students with mild-moderate learning disabilities, ADHD, dylexia, mild autism and processing disorders.

Sessions are one-on-one in the student’s home in mid-city Los Angeles.

Teacher will implement learning goals from student’s IEP and neuropsych reports. Teachers are part-time, hourly, W-2 employees.

• Masters degree in Special Needs Elementary
• Ed Therapy Certification
• Therapeutic Reading Programs
• Work in student’s home with mask or outside
• Professional progress reports and follow-up expected
• Ability to teach executive functioning skills
• Nurturing, upbeat personality
• Commitment to stay with assignment until June 2022
