Abraxas Youth & Family Services Hiring for Recruiter at Clarion, PA Full Time

We are hiring a full-time Recruiter to join our amazing team at Abraxas Youth & Family Services! The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to win, excellent communication skills, and can be successful while working independently as well as part of a collaborative team. In this role, you will plan, implement, and coordinate recruiting and staffing needs for one or more residential and community-based programs in multiple states, including Ohio, Northwest Pennsylvania & South Carolina.

Travel required for recruiting events and outreach efforts in and around towns in Ohio such as Shelby, Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown and in and around towns in Northwest Pennsylvania such as Marienville, Warren, Oil City, and Clarion.

Salary: $50,000 to $55,000

Job Type: Full-time

This is a professional position of a specialized nature. The incumbent will develop and expand employment recruitment efforts with a particular emphasis on increasing the numbers of qualified and competent candidates for a wide breadth of positions. Experience in resume sourcing and cold calling a must. The Recruiting Specialist will coordinate efforts with HR and other facility leadership and/or department management and staff to streamline and enhance the hiring experience for both candidates and hiring departments, and to reduce any barriers to an efficient employment process.

The position involves a high degree of professionalism, organization, and customer service. This role frequently interacts with all level contacts and has exposure to sensitive human resources information necessitating the use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Establishes working relationships and coordinates with facility and program leadership and Human Resources to identify recruitment needs, develop recruitment strategies and achieve required staffing levels.
• Ensures recruiting efforts comply with company initial hiring policies and procedures and Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) policies and objectives.
• Facilitates interview activities by identifying candidates to be considered for positions, coordinating candidate interviews and collaborating with facility/program leadership on extending offers to qualified candidates.
• Provides training and feedback to program staff to improve interviewing, recruitment and retention activities.
• Maintains and updates online recruiting system in order to post, track, schedule, and process candidates and job requisitions. Retains records per company policy.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with recruitment resources including colleges and universities, state offices, and community job boards.
• Creates and posts recruiting advertisements within budget guidelines for positions at appropriate resource locations including newspapers and job search websites.
• Schedules and attends job or career fairs with appropriate program staff in order to promote the company and identify potential applicants.
• Processes documents to finalize interview process including collection of interview notes and submission of candidate’s background check.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Recruiting Coordinator or Recruiter
• Bachelor’s degree or prior experience in recruiting and/or sales, highly preferred
• Ability to focus in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Must possess strong organizational and follow-through skills to ensure tasks are complete.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills and ability to pick up new software and technology quickly.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently; seeking assistance immediately if needed.
• Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline.
• Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
• Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
• Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g., structured, competency based and behavioral)
• Experience with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems.
• Ability to gather data, consistently track metrics, and prepare s.
• Excellent telephone and customer relations skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
