Abrasive Technology Hiring for Machine Operator at Dorval, QC Full Time

Machine Operator
1st Shift (Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm)
$22.00-$25.00/hr

Sign on bonus $500 *terms apply – no experience required!

Abrasive Technology is currently seeking a 1st shift energetic professional to join our manufacturing team. This position is located at our Montreal, QC, facility.

Essential Functions:

• Operate a CNC lathe
• Operate production equipment
• Perform quality checks and measurements
• Prioritize and determine the appropriate order of tasks according to relative importance
• Comprehend and successfully follow documented procedures

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• At least 3 years of CNC lathe machine operator experience
• Ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers)
• Strong math skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 20-35 pounds on a consistent basis, wear safety shoes, and stand for 4+ hours
• Strong teamwork skills-communication and collaboration.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Willingness to work around chemicals and use appropriate PPE.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Bonus Terms:

• To qualify for the sign on bonus, you must hired by June 30th, 2022.
• Payouts will occur in installments.
• 1st shift associates: $250 after 30 days of employment and $250 after 90 days of employment.
• Associates must be employed at the time of payout.
