Able Tutors Hiring for GCSE English Tutor Job at London, England Full Time

Able Tutors are looking for experienced and qualified tutors to teach both GCSE English Language and Literature. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record who are passionate about teaching to enable our students reach their potential.

The position involves you travelling to the individual pupil’s home to reinforce what they have been taught in school. This is a part-time, flexible position and the lessons will take place after school or at weekends usually for 1 hour per week per student. [Most of our tutors work between 1 to 3 hours per week with us]

This position can be performed remotely if the students are happy for this.

AREAS WE COVER: North West London in particular Stanmore, Bushey, Watford, Edgware, Mill Hill, Hendon, Golders Green, Finchley, Hampstead, Southgate, Muswell Hill, Southgate and Enfield.

REQUIREMENTS

• minimum 1 year teaching GCSE English Literature and English Language in the UK [within the last 18 months]
• a relevant English degree from a recognised university
• excellent subject knowledge
• enhanced DBS clearance or be willing to apply (we can arrange this)
• be experienced with the requirements of the National Curriculum and UK exam boards
• be able to work after school and at weekends
• speak fluent English
• be able to provide 2 references
• must live in North West London
