The Role:
The Window and Door Installer is responsible for installing windows and doors, backing, sheathing, and any other component installation within a wall or floor panel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform simple, routine, and repetitive tasks involving physical labor and is required to operate equipment and hand and power tools
Ensure the efficient assembly of equipment used in the manufacturing of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies
Install window and doors, meeting building envelope requirement and specifications provided.
Perform quality checks
Install backing, sheathing or any other component required in a panel
Transport walls throughout the production line
Load walls into the vertical wall rack, or offload/stack walls off the line
Maintain preventive maintenance, safety, 5S and quality control processes and ensuring cleanliness standards are met in the work area
Complete the assembly of product according to instructions, on-time, and to the prescribed quality standard
Escalating issues that may impact production to the Team Leader or supervisor on duty
Ensuring required materials and supplies are available at all times
Actively participate in problem solving sessions and continuously identify improvement initiatives
Perform any other duties as required.
You will bring:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Residential construction knowledge and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Strong ability to work in a solutions-oriented environment
A strong eye for detail and focuses on quality
A safety focused mindset
