Abbott Laboratories Hiring for Commercial Analyst Job at Sydney Full Time

We have a great opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our Abbott Vascular division.

Based in our head office at Macquarie Park, you are responsible for providing financial support to our Vascular businesses on customer rebates and pricing process, financial analysis and monthly reporting.

Your key responsibilities are to:

• Manage rebate accruals process for all programs
• Calculate and prepare payment documentation ensuring all approvals are in place
• Ensure calculations and payments are in line with contractual agreements
• Manage pricing process to ensure accuracy and response to all pricing queries
• Co-work with other team members to continue to improve the efficiency of rebate and pricing process
• Support the Senior Finance Analyst in accounting month end process, including but not limited to preparation of month end accounting JLs, inventory provision calculation, obsolete stock write off, variance analysis.
• Develop and provide analysis to explain the MTD, QTD and full year variances and perform trend/pattern analysis as needed
• Support Opex management

What sets you apart?

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance; CPA/CA preferred
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role; medical device industry is highly advantageous
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively to all stakeholders
• A keen eye for detail, analytical skills and diligence is essential
• ERP System knowledge; preferably SAP
• Power BI and Business Warehouse experience preferred
• You’re a go-getter with high levels of resilience, personal motivation and enthusiasm
• You have a thirst for learning and desire to grow with the business
• You have a results-driven attitude with an ability to work well in a small team
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
