Abbott & Associates Professional Placement Hiring for Payroll Specialist (Remote) Job at Remote Full Time

We are searching for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a growing, local, and women-owned accounting company!

We are seeking a remote candidate who is based in the Pacific, Alaska, Mountain or Central time zones.

Job Description:
The ideal candidate must have experience working on multiple clients throughout the day. The candidate must have experience both in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, as well as bank feeds within QB/QBO. They will be analytically minded, detail oriented and an effective communicator to allow for the team to work on the same clients. The candidate will have knowledge of various industries, and their unique financial needs. The ideal candidate also has the skills to perform all dynamics of accounting, as well as multi-state QuickBooks payroll processing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform all functions of accounting for multiple clients
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• QuickBooks payroll processing
• Training of staff as needed

Required Experience and Skills:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• At least 1 year of manual payroll processing experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Remain professional and keep information confidential at all times
• Be able to embrace daily change
• Possess amazing organizational skills
• Have self-confidence that allows for constructive feedback
• Eagerness to learn keyboard shortcuts
• Self-starter and team player

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Proficient in QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Full time hours; 40 hours/week
• This is a fully remote opportunity

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range is $23-26/hr DOE
