Job Description

As the contracted staffing firm for DFW International Airport, we are seeking a TALENT ACQUISITION COORDINATOR.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, assists the Talent Acquisition section of the Human Resources department by providing administrative support in all stages of the recruitment process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedules and administers various pre-employment tests such as office automation, customer service aptitude, and pre-employment physicals and drug tests.
• Closes vacancies and application files in PeopleSoft; updates application status in database and generates various applicant data reports as requested.
• Compiles applicant background data and sends information to outside agency for background verifications (criminal background, motor vehicle, employment and academic).
• Reviews preliminary results from background verifications and pre-employment tests for discrepancies and forwards information to Talent Acquisition Manager for further evaluation, if needed.
• Assists in the coordination of and preparation for job fairs; represents the Airport at job fairs by talking with applicants and answering questions, communicating employment opportunities and providing instructions on how to apply for positions.
• Assists in creating and formatting interview guides; and creating interview folders
• Processes travel arrangements including the arranging and confirmation of flights, hotels, rental cars, etc. for out-of-town candidates during the interview process
• Assists in completing and maintaining various staffing forms; performs data entry, and maintains appropriate files.
• Assists and supports New Employee Orientation and coordinates with new hires to ensure all information is received prior to the employee’s start date.
• Collects and verifies new hire paperwork for accuracy and timely submission.
• Completes I-9 documentation for new hires.
• Supports College Relations activities associated to the internship program to include the on-boarding of interns to perspective departments.
• Posts job openings on internal and external websites as well as other publications and organizations. Reconciles P-card purchases for job postings.
• Supports the Talent Acquisition Manager with ad hoc projects and requests, as needed.
• Assists Talent Acquisition Specialists with sourcing and pre-screening application information provided by job applicants.
• May conduct phone interviews, as needed.
• Serves as back-up for employment verifications.
• May perform other administrative duties as assigned such as delivery of bereavement boxes for Board employees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of a high school education or equivalent.
• Two (2) years increasingly responsible administrative experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
• Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of current rules, regulations, laws, principles, practices and policies related to human resources administration.
• Skill in screening applicants for basic qualifications.
• Skill in communicating with others both verbally and in writing at all levels within and outside of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to understand and interpret current Airport Board policies, practices and procedures.
• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, differentiate among competing demands and work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to utilize databases for query and reporting purposes.
• Ability to work with the public and other employees in a pleasant and tactful manner.
• Ability to safeguard sensitive or confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure.
• Ability to check information and identify errors.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.

DESIRABLE

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, human resources or related field.
• Experience working in a Human Resources Department.
