JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary: The Senior Finance Analyst will provide advanced analytical support to the organization and is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing data to drive actions to increase profits. The role will drive growth and process improvement within the organization by providing timely, insightful, user-friendly analytics, reports, and proposals that enable sound business decision-making and execution of company strategy.
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Leverage data for actionable insights that increase revenue and profit across the company and work alongside key business stakeholders to make positive improvements
- Develop customer and category insights and analytics to help drive profit strategies and category growth and identify potential performance gaps, recommend modifications to documents, tools, systems and/or processes
- Proactively seek out profit-driving and cost-reduction opportunities within the business and prepare and deliver comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to Finance management and other stakeholders
- Develop and follow department standards and metrics to drive performance to a high level of excellence
- Maintain open communication with management to help document accomplishments and understand how performance expectations, conduct and organizational missions are linked
- Build a strong relationship with cross functional teams to identify areas for growth opportunities and influence their priorities by identifying and structuring the key problems impacting performance
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or Engineering; Master’s Degree a plus
- A minimum of 4 years in an analytical role in either Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Business
- Advanced spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, sensitivity analysis, lookup functions, complicated formulas, importing/exporting data and creating and editing macros
- General PC and MS Office applications
- Required to work in office once a month for monthly meetings
