In this position, you will be responsible for managing the production improvements of the manufacturing cells of the Measurement and Analysis (PAMA) business segment in Quebec City.

Reporting to the Production Engineering Supervisor, your objective will be to take charge of the management of production documentation and information. The objective of this function will be to help improve production tools and deliverables in order to optimize costs, quality and product delivery times while determining the pace of the work phases while respecting the budgets allocated to materials.

Your responsibilities

Acts as a technical reference for his/her area of expertise in production, particularly documentation and information management.

Writes, updates, controls, and distributes work instructions and production information.

Optimizes manufacturing processes and assembly sequences in conjunction with the Process Specialist. Leads improvement projects and implements those in his/her area of expertise.

Structure work instructions based on the manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM).

Manages the documentation and information of the configuration management tools in production.

Prioritizes assignments in conjunction with the process specialist.

Validates work instructions with the process manager, cell manager and other production employees

Defines, maintains, and improves technical writing and information management standards in production. Trains cell staff to follow these standards. In collaboration with other production engineering specialists, supports and leads problem investigations and corrections.

Your background

College or university studies in a technical field (mechanical, electronic, industrial or other), in documentation or information management or other equivalent fields.

Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, a sense of responsibility and empowerment

Intellectual curiosity

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong oral and written communication skills (French and English)

Mastery of document and information management processes and tools in a manufacturing environment: Microsoft sharepoint, PTC Windchill or equivalent.

An asset: knowledge of case management tools, such as Atlassian JIRA™
