Fast paced trendy Juniors brand seeking an Associate Freelance Designer with minimum 3 years experience.

Position will be Freelance to start, with possiblity of full time. 

Seeking a highly motivated, communicative, and committed Associate Designer to work with a close-knit Design Team to develop seasonal collections across many categories such as Sweaters, Cut & Sew Knits, Active Wear & Athleisure in the Juniors Market.

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the Design Industry as an Assistant Designer and be able to work in a fast paced work environment. Ideal candidate should be able to work independently and have enthusiasm to learn and adapt.

Job Requirements:

• Must have exceptional/ fast sketching ability in Illustrator
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Exceptional computer knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
• Strong design, color, and conceptual skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Creative thinker
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Sketching garments in Illustrator
• Creating Development Tech Packs
• Creating Specs from original samples
• Filling sketches with prints and solids
• Manage lab dip and trim comments
• Photographing samples
• Creating original Prints and Print Repeats
• Email and communicate with overseas vendors
• Research Trends and Shopping
• Assist in creation of all Design materials, swatches, colors cards etc. 
• Contribute positively to team dynamic
• Manage up when necessary
