Abacus Brands Hiring for Receptionist/Administrative Assistant – Yaletown at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Abacus Brands is a children’s toy company with a focus on educational products that promote creativity in kids through early learning and hands-on play!

Our products can be found in Costco, Indigo, Walmart, Amazon and retailers around the world, and recently WINNER of the prestigious TOY OF THE YEAR award for best STEM Educational Toy 2022! We have also partnered with licenses like Bill Nye (The Science Guy), MasterChef Junior, Smithsonian, Penn & Teller, DK books and more as we push our creative engine to make learning fun!

We are in the growth stage and looking for an entry level, front desk receptionist to join our team. Your smiling face is the first thing people see when they enter our office, so we are looking for someone professional with a consistent level of energy, who can also help with administrative tasks to support our team!

This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to expand their skills and grow into a full-time executive assistant, project coordination, or senior administrative role.

A typical day consists of:

– Welcome visitors to the office. Must provide polite and professional communication.

– Answer and direct phone calls and email inquiries.

– Maintain and order office supplies, and a tidy workspace.

– Coordinate shipping and receive deliveries

– Provide administrative support to two CEO’s and supporting staff.

Qualifications and skills:

– Applicant must be a self-motivated employee, with the ability to see where support is required

– Team player with a “can do” attitude

– Strong English communication skills, written and oral

– Able to navigate through google drive, google sheets etc.

– Comfortable to work in Apple environment

– Comfortable with MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word etc.
