PURPOSE OF POSITION:

At AAF Flanders, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our staff. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire individuals for various roles in our company.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 2-4 years’ experience in talent acquisition, proficiency in applicant tracking systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as it will work closely with others across different departments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind.
• Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives.
• Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience.

• Work in close contact with managers and supervisors to identify and fill all hourly openings in a timely manner as dictated by plant KPIs.
• Open requisitions, post jobs, source candidates, screen, access, and manage applicants through the interview, hiring and on-boarding processes.
• Assess candidates’ information, including resumes, and references.
• Create a strategic recruiting plan and develop relationships within the community to maintain a robust candidate pool.
• Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.
• Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork.
• Report talent metrics weekly to the HR Managers.
• Assist the HR Manager with any additional tasks and responsibilities that may arise on a day-to-day basis.

SKILLS

• Work experience in talent acquisition or similar roles.
• Familiarity with social media, resume databases, and professional networks.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
• Experience in using various platforms, i.e., LinkedIn Talent Solutions, to proactively source candidates.
• A keen understanding of the requirements for each role in the company.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or Human Resources Management, or similar field;
• 2-4 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in a high volume, fast-paced environment, or similar role;
• Experience in recruiting hourly manufacturing employees;
• Certification obtained from the HR Certification Institute would be advantageous.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will primarily work in an office environment. However, there may be times it is required to go to the production floor, which requires:

• Must be able to walk in a manufacturing warehouse environment of up to 500,000 square feet.
• Must be able to walk in noisy, and dusty areas in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions, without temperature control.
• Must comply with safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE when required.
• Must adhere to company safety regulations in all areas of the facility.
