What you will do:

You will work closely with the CEO managing all accounting needs of the company. You will be the sole owner of this department, with oversight and assistance from the CEO. As the sole owner, you will do tasks big and small. You will need to have an attitude that no job is beneath you. You will need to be a big picture type person, who gets excited about advising the company on financial needs and processes. You will safeguard the company’s financial integrity, and hold peers accountable so that you receive accurate and timely information, so that you can perform your duties properly. You will need a can-do attitude, taking initiative in increasing the scope and quality of your work, while respectfully challenging leadership and peers of your limitations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA a plus
• Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience, 10+ preferred
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Experience working with ERP Software
• Excellent communication
• Ability to look at the big picture, and understand fundamental business processes
• Ability to predict trends and spot errors
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to hold peers accountable
• Be able to prepare financial reports (Cash Flow, Balance sheet, P&L)
• Ability to manage cash flow and advise leadership of cash needs
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and other relevant software tools

Responsibilities

• Prepare Financial Reports
• State Tax Filing and Reporting
• Perform month end close
• Keep track of expenses (freight, supplies, overhead)
• Maintain Fixed Assets records including acquisitions, depreciation, and amortization
• Manage Accounts Receivable
• Invoicing
• Collecting payments from customers who are past terms
• Issuing Statements
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Maintain adequate cash balances
• Organizes Accounts Payable
• Post debits and credits to GL
• Manage Payroll (mostly automated)

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
