Looking for a trained medical transcriber clerk, with medical assistant experience. Operates data entry equipment such as keypunch and terminals. Transcribes routine pre-coded medical information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Effectively operates keyboard or other medical data entry devices to enter data into computer.

Expectation: Data entered is timely, accurate, and complete.

Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer, using medical data entry devices, such as keyboard or optical scanner, and following format displayed on screen.

Expectation: Transfer and recording of data is timely, accurate, and complete.

Performs quality control by comparing medical data entered with source documents, or re-enters medical data in verification format on screen to detect errors.

Expectation: Work is accurate and completed on time.

Deletes incorrectly entered medical data, and re-enters correct medical data, achieving 100% accuracy.

May compile, sort, and verify accuracy of medical data to be entered in a precise manner.

Expectation: Process is efficient, organized, thorough, and prompt.

May keep scans and saves all medical records of work completed.

Expectation: Records are timely, accurate, and complete.

May perform clerical duties as needed.

Expectation: Clerical work is timely, accurate, and complete.

Ensures all work is completed during scheduled work hours.

Expectation: Extra work completed is timely, accurate, and thorough.

Ensures strict confidentiality of client records.
