Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering and environment consultancy with an expanding international presence with approx. 2600 employees globally in over 40 offices in 21 countries.

Their UK operations are growing rapidly, with over 140 professional staff providing process engineering, civil engineering, energy, environmental, international development consultancy, and project management services to a variety of clients.

Due to increasing project commissions, they are seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of large-scale projects within Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Laboratory, Residential and Commercial sectors. You will be collaborating with project delivery teams to create and develop designs for foul and surface water drainage on highways, roadways and car parking.

What’s involved for the Senior Civil Engineer…

• Work with project teams to develop drainage designs
• Provide high quality technical and detailed designs
• Carry out drainage calculations
• Prepare developer enquiries, environment agency product requests and flood risk assessments
• Prepare S104, 2106 and S185 applications for submission to the planning authorities
• Carry out report writing
• Prepare application forms and packages for highway authorities
• Use Microdrainage (Windes) to create, analyse and size the network drainage components
• Use Civil 3D to carry out a range of design assignments

What you’ll need…

• Civil Engineer experience
• Experience of detailed drainage design
• Understanding of section 104, 106 and 185.
• Ability to interpret ground investigations and CCTV surveys
• Excellent communication/presentation skills
