Role Overview

Reporting to the HR Manager in this brand new role, you will play a leading role in developing and improving the employee lifecycle for colleagues across the site. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing robust, effective recruitment and retention strategies to ensure the business is able to attract and keep high calibre people in order to improve performance.
• Working closely with colleagues in HR and Operations, you will develop effective recruitment campaigns to ensure all short and long term staffing requirements are met.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the in-house recruitment advisor to ensure a high level of service is provided consistently.
• Championing best practice, you will ensure all recruitment activity meets statutory requirements and will support hiring managers by providing advice on guidance on recruitment and interviewing.
• Implementing strategies to help improve staff retention, looking at ways to improve engagement, and utilising data and reports to address any recurring issues and trends.
• Ensuring candidate attraction methods are utilised effectively.
• Improving the profile of the business and understanding the perception of past, current, and future employs can be used to drive change and ensure the values of the business are showcased and understood.

About You

• Experience of recruiting high volume roles, agency or in-house in a fast paced environment. Food production would be ideal, but we’re keen to hear from people from other manufacturing sectors, logistics, or retail.
• Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing effective recruitment processes; able to tell us about how the changes you made delivered results.
• Able to come up with innovative solutions to deliver results in a very competitive market
• Experience of managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial screening of candidates through to onboarding.
• Strong communication skills, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
• Organised and adaptable, used to working at a fast pace and prioritising work in order to meet deadlines.
• Proactive and results focused with strong commercial acumen.
