This is a permanent, full time position based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday/8am-4pm).
Responsibilities
– Manage incoming calls, faxes and email
– Scheduling patient appointments and professional meetings
– Sorting incoming documents, scans and mail
– Arranging referrals
– Maintaining and updating patient charts
– Prepare patient rooms
Specifications
– Must adhere to professional standards of care and confidentiality
– Must have excellent communication skills (oral/written)
– Must be proficient with computers and able to work with an electronic medical records system
– Willing to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
– Graduate of a recognized medical office assistant program with practical experience or experience in a speciality practice would be considered an asset
