The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a member of the health care delivery team and is responsible for and accountable to the patients. The CMA performs delegated clinical duties within the supervising clinician’s scope of practice and consistent with the CMA’s education, training, and experience. A CMA’s duties may include the following: taking medical histories, assisting during patient procedures/examinations, collecting, and preparing laboratory specimens, venipuncture, performing basic in-house laboratory tests, taking vital signs, administering injections, using various pain scales to screen for pain, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments. This is a nonexempt, full-time position in pay grade 3 with the pay range of $19.14 – $24.88.
