Position Summary

The Part-Time Security Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of aircraft, passengers, crew members, and airport personnel. This role includes assignments on the ramp and jet bridge, requiring strict adherence to company procedures and federal regulations.

Candidates must have flexible availability and be able to work all weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Aircraft Access Control (Jet Bridge):

• Monitor and control access to aircraft while on the ground.

• Ensure only authorized personnel enter the aircraft.

• Verify identification and required credentials.

Aircraft Ramp Access Control (Ramp / AOA):

• Work on the aircraft ramp within the Airport Operations Area (AOA).

• Conduct security inspections and monitor access for all personnel and service providers requiring aircraft access.

Aircraft Search:

• Perform comprehensive interior aircraft searches in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.

• Ensure all areas of the aircraft are secure prior to departure.

Catering Security:

• Conduct inspections of catering equipment, food containers, and catering vehicles before aircraft servicing.

Charter Screening Security:

• Screen passengers on charter flights, including professional and collegiate sports teams, in compliance with current TSA guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.

• Must pass all required initial and recurrent training and examinations.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must maintain a clean driving record.

• Upon hire, must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work.

• Must obtain and maintain airport security badging, which includes successfully passing a 10-year criminal history background check. Individuals with felony convictions or outstanding warrants are not eligible.

• Must be flexible with scheduling and available to work all weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

This position requires working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Duties on the ramp and jet bridge involve prolonged standing, walking, and the ability to remain alert and attentive in a secure aviation environment.
