Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Guelph, ON. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating and developing technical drawings and designing custom machinery and tooling. Tasks include utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed plans and providing support for research and development initiatives. The role involves collaboration with other engineers and project teams to ensure that designs meet project specifications and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong capabilities in Technical Drawing and Machine Design
• Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
• Expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) for custom tooling or machinery
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is an asset
