About The Position

This is a regualr part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Manager, Centre for Community, Health, and Social Impact & Intellectual Property Services, working 10 hours per week at an hourly rate of $45.21

As member of the Research & Innovation department the Research Scientist – Equity Diversity and Inclusion (RPT) will conduct applied research projects in area of social science and humanities, with focus on institutional EDI frameworks and applied social science research methodology in collaboration with partners. Will be responsible for completion of project within timelines and on specification to project scope. This position will be contact for partner on completion of the project.

Specific Accountabilities

• Lead research projects
• Lead, conduct and help with research activities including literature review, data analysis, development and experimentation in collaboration with researchers and institutional partners
• Responsible for direct development and maintain accurate reports
• Communicates and updates institutional partner on progress and any changes to project deliverables
• Support with analysis and design of projects: design, implementation, installation, calibration and documentation
• Provide consultancy support to partners, institutional representatives for development of new projects
• Prepares technical reports and presentation for research partners

Qualifications

• Min. 4 year post-secondary degree, preferably in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology) or equivalent, with a specialized, professional qualification or equivalency
• Min 5 years practical experience in applied research project management and leadership, human resources, EDI management, and mental health & wellness, preferably within post-secondary institutions
