About The Position
Halcyon Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide/CNA PRN to support our growing geriatric Home Health population in Arlington/Irving/South Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. Requirements
- Current CNA certification in Texas.
- A minimum of one year of home health experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A kind and patient demeanor with a commitment to providing dignified care.
Nice To Haves
- Hospice experience (or experience in a related field and a desire to learn about home healthcare)
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
- Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Home Health policy.
- Provides necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patient to ensure continuity of care.
- Practices accepted infection control principles. Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
- Provides an environment which promotes respect for patient, privacy, and property.
- Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
- Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Home Health policy.
- Promotes the Home Health philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
