Vaco is hiring for a Logistics Coordinator located in Jacksonville, FL. Ideal candidate will come with industry experience.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for securing and overseeing transportation solutions in a customer-service and sales support capacity.

The position calls for highly-motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced work environment as they oversee the lifecycle of multiple shipments from start to finish on a daily basis

• Build and nurture partner relationships with carrier contacts
• Negotiate rates with carriers to achieve optimal margins
• Update and maintain Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Able to work both independently and within a team
• Analytical and logistics planning
• Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions
• Achieve individual, team, and company goals and objectives
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate rates, sell services, and build professional relationships via telephone
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients to determine shipping needs, providing responsive customer service and resolving client issues quickly and effectively.
• Communicating proactively with customers about any delays or issues with their shipments.
• Provide back-up to fellow team members as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office : Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communications skills, negotiating skills and persuasiveness.
• Ability to build relationships and trust.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and easily adapt to multiple roles.
• Dependable, reliable, responsible and fulfills obligations.
