Instructional Assistant Position Announcement

Foothills Elementary School is seeking instructional assistants-SPED candidates.

The part-time positions are (29 hours/week).

Education, Certification And Related Work Experience

• High School Diploma (2 years college preferred)
• Meets highly qualified requirements for classified staff
• TCI trained and Behavioral Support training (or willingness to complete certification training)

Qualities Of a Desired Candidate Include

• Work with students under the supervision of administration, special, and regular education teachers.
• Demonstrate an aptitude and flexibility to work with multiple schedules and student needs.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Tend to diapering and personal care needs of students
• Maintain student records and confidentiality
• Work closely with supervising teacher to provide support to students in the classroom, as well as address individual needs in an inclusionary setting
• Commitment to student achievement and growth.
• Commitment and loyalty to the school and position.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by administration, including flexibility in daily schedule.
• Possess honesty, integrity, and professionalism
