Kofinas Fertility Group Hiring for Insurance Verification Specialist at New York, NY Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

Hours: Monday – Friday 7am-5pm (Flexible)

Location: 65 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.

The Insurance Verification Specialist provides comprehensive advanced billing support to KFG Fertility Billing Service, to enhance the generation of accurate billing of insurance claims and patient statements. All employees are responsible for supporting the practice goals and mission by following all practice policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work assigned client workload in a timely manner.
• Review and resolve any front-end eligibility edits for clean claim submission(s) (i.e., patient demographics, insurance, etc.)
• Ability to research and obtain specific insurance plan information such as payor address, clearinghouse data and other field requirements.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy metrics per department expectations.
• Complete status s as required.
• Escalate issues to management as needed.
• Adheres to all office procedures and guidelines.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, Ability to effectively prioritize workload.
• All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year of previous medical billing experience.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of standard office equipment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to manage highly confidential information.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
