Role Description

Urban Shark is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer for a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will lead design projects from conception to completion, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver unique and luxurious interior spaces. Responsibilities include space planning, creating comprehensive design concepts, developing construction drawings, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The Senior Interior Designer will also be involved in coordinating with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and design goals are achieved seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Space Planning and Interior Design that facilitates functional yet aesthetically pleasing environments.
• Proficiency in Architecture and a strong understanding of integrating design concepts into architectural frameworks.
• Experience in creating and reviewing Construction Drawings with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of FF&E, including sourcing, selecting, and specifying high-quality furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality designs aligned with client expectations.
• Prior experience in high-end, luxury interior design or construction projects is highly desirable.
