We are currently seeking two professionals: a Solution Architect and a Technical Analyst, to join our client’s vibrant Infrastructure program based in Brisbane.

The Solution Architect and Technical Analyst will work collaboratively to ensure a holistic understanding of existing infrastructure and contribute to the planning and design phases of the project. These roles are pivotal to the success of our client’s program’s delivery and will involve collaborating closely to ensure a holistic understanding of existing infrastructure and contribute to the planning and design phases of the project.

Purpose of Roles:

As part of the ICT Portfolio Management team, you will play a vital role in managing ICT investments, governance, portfolio, projects, and assurance activities. Your main responsibility will be to deliver Solution Architecture and Technical Analysis activities for new digital solutions or enhancements. This includes contributing to the review and development of enterprise architecture artefacts, digital strategies, and roadmaps. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and provide expert advice on various technical aspects to ensure effective realisation of innovative ICT solutions that support organisational operations and capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing technical environment, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed information about the equipment in use.
• Create a comprehensive inventory detailing specifications, configurations, and conditions of all identified equipment, applications, and infrastructure architecture configurations, including Station Alert and Turn-out (Zetron) and radio equipment.
• Contribute to the development of solution architecture that aligns with collated information and addresses identified gaps, including application profiles and current state configuration to enable network segregation and migration.
• Assist in the development and updating of architecture diagrams spanning across PowerApps, Infrastructure (Datacentre and Networks) across QFES.
• Support development using PowerApps, MS Access, Sharepoint, and MS SQL, ensuring effective utilisation of these platforms in solution development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Solution Architect/ Technical Analyst in large and complex enterprise environments or experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments, and/or system analysis activities on complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
• Awareness of ICT framework or similar process methodologies and/or qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or similar industry-recognised certification desirable.
• Knowledge and/or experience in both waterfall, agile, and/or PRINCE2 project methodologies.
• Ability to conduct thorough technical assessments, create comprehensive inventories, and develop solution architectures that address identified gaps and align with business requirements.
• Proficiency in developing and updating architecture diagrams spanning across various platforms and infrastructure components.
• Hands-on experience in supporting development using PowerApps, MS Access, Sharepoint, and MS SQL, with a focus on effective utilisation of these platforms in solution development.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into actionable solution design artefacts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solution architecture activities.
