Great Parks Hiring for Visitor Center Attendant at Sharonville, OH Full Time

Join our team as a Visitor Center Attendant at Sharon Woods! At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

This position works various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

A successful Visitor Center Attendant: greets and serves guests at the visitor center by answering questions, providing information on programs, and cashing out guests at the gift shop. Position frequently includes cash handling and reservation responsibilities. Cross training is encouraged. Standard practice allows employee to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor.

• Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks of Hamilton County’s policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.
• If over 18: drives Great Parks’ vehicle. Essential duties may require the employee to drive their personal vehicle within the park to transport supplies, materials or a cash box to the worksite.
• Greets and serves guests to ensure satisfaction. Handles guest inquires.
• May assist with set-up and operation of special events.
• Transports change orders, merchandise, food, mail and supplies.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Opens facilities and prepares for daily business. Closes and secures facilities at end of business day.
• Takes inventory of merchandise and records results.
• Operates point-of-sale system, reservation system, cash box and cash register.
• May assist guests at welcome entrance booths, sells and monitors compliance of motor vehicle permits.
• Sells food and merchandise and maintains merchandise displays.
• Maintains cleanliness of guest and employee areas including restrooms. May include other housekeeping duties.

Skills And Qualifications

• An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Great customer service experience preferred
• Has ability to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
• Has basic math skills and basic computer skills.
