Job Description

• ing to the Senior Manager of Logistics Procurementthe Associate Category Manager of Logistics will lead severalcategories driving excellence in alignment with the LogisticsOrganizations goals and strategies the Supply Management planBusiness Unit needs and Sonocos overall mission.
• The leader will be responsible for developing andexecuting the centralized logistics strategic procurement strategyfor our Integrated and diversified businesses in the areas of 3PLwarehouses company owned trailers and the dedicated fleet.
• The ideal candidate will leverage theirextensive knowledge of the logistics industry to execute sourcingprocesses including contracts negotiations financial analysis RFPCreation and supplier research.

The incumbent will work closelywith the logistics operations team and logistics excellence andstrategy team in execution of the plans and strategies.

• 10 years of experience and knowledge of OTM.
• Education BA Degree Required

What youll bedoing :

• Develop implementand execute a strategic logistics procurement strategy in supportof logistics operations supply management goals and business unitplans.
• Work cross functionally and acrossbusiness units to leverage current and future business requirementmarket intelligence and historical spend data to develop alogistics category strategy that simplifies the supply baseprovides value and continually reduces cost.
• Lead and on large scale projects that include RFPsminibids warehouse sourcing events dedicated RFPs and trailerreplacement bids.
• Develop the key metrics KPIsand performance management based on sound data analytics to providevaluable insights and root cause analysis of costdrivers.
• Negotiation of supplier terms andconditions and contract administration
• Continuously find innovative approaches to cost savingsand value drivers.
• Lead develop and providedirection to the Business Units as well as be a leader in thelogistics organization.
• Drive continuousimprovement using sound data analytics and changemanagement.
• Own the commercial relationshipwith key logistics suppliers and leverage those relationships todrive excellence across the organization.
