THE OPPORTUNITY

The Logistics Manager supervises the receiving, material handling, and shipping employees. The manager establishes processes to maintain inventory levels and the required materials needed to support manufacturing and the distribution of that material.

They manage and oversee the daily processes and operations of the shipping functions. The manager builds processes to achieve key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and inventory accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritizes, schedules, delegates, develops and directs the Logistics team.
• Enforces standard work related to the timely movement of materials, FIFO practices, and material identification to control inventory levels.
• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly inventory analysis s to help drive waste from processes while maintaining delivery requirements to internal and external customers.
• Identifies and resolves transactional discrepancies related to the movement of products.
• Monitors freight company performance and resolves issues with lost or damaged shipments.
• Investigates NCM incidents, analyzes root causes, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews practices that will assure employees are protected from potential injury completes investigations of near misses and incidents and makes sure actions are taken per the corrective action plan.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to show empathy while holding direct s accountable for results.

• Makes fact-based data-driven decisions.
• Proficient knowledge of software, including ERP and Microsoft Office suite.
