Premier Surgical Associates Hiring for Medical Office Manager at Knoxville, TN Full Time

We are seeking a Medical Office Manager to become a part of our team! You will coordinate medical and health services as the working supervisor in charge of all front office and clinical operations at the Premier Surgical Parkwest medical office.

Responsibilities:

• Telephone reception, scheduling and pre-certification of office visits and surgery appointments.
• Patient check-in and check-out.
• Management of medical records, coding and charge entry.
• Employee hiring, termination and evaluation
• Oversee medical and health service activities and personnel
• Plan and coordinate health services
• Work collaboratively with physicians to implement appropriate healthcare programs
• Maintain a clean environment to ensure patient safety
• Establish and enforce healthcare policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school education.
• Demonstrated personnel management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of medical business office procedures.
• Skill in operating computers.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate and solve problems and exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• A limited background in CPT and ICD-9 coding.
• Previous experience in healthcare or other medical fields
• Experience in a managerial role
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
