Job Information
Responsible for leading the creation and implementation of the strategic import and export logistics processes for a respective region.
Support regional implementation of global initiatives by resourcing and networking with other departments to support successful outcomes.
Lead a team to deliver effective, efficient, and compliant import and export shipping for the region, adhering to all applicable internal, external, legal, regulatory, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Ensure coordination with other departments like supply chain, operations, trade compliance, and finance. Develop, maintain, and communicate critical metrics;
financial, carrier performance, and associated industry trends. Facilitate sharing of key performance indicators and metrics monthly to show operational health.
Working with the trade compliance group to ensure proper documentation is followed on all shipments. Responsible for relationships with various international carriers (small parcel, LCL, FCL, airlines, steamship lines, freight forwarders, drayage carriers) around the globe in both day-to-day operations, volume planning, and contract negotiations.
Work with key vendors on monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews, ensuring auditable tracking of actions and resolutions.
