Job Title : Development Coordinator, Pensacola

Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research (Rally) a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, empowers volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures.

Rally is seeking an energetic individual to serve as the Development Coordinator. This person will be a passionate advocate for childhood cancer research and will be responsible for managing fundraising strategy and events in Pensacola and the surrounding region to increase organizational support from individual donors, local businesses and other community affiliations.

Job Purpose

The Development Coordinator is responsible for working with Rally existing relationships including volunteers, sponsors, and donors.

They will also develop new and relationships and partnerships, execution of assigned Rally fundraising programs and events, including achievement of annual revenue goals.

Duties and Responsibilities : include, but are not limited to :

Donor Development Individual / Corporate / Foundation Donors

• Execute an integrated strategic plan for the Rally Gulf Coast’s donor development program which includes strategies focused on community partners, major gifts, institutional giving, foundation giving, and donor stewardship activity.
• Direct and manage fund-raising activities for current, prospective, and lapsed donors. Cultivation and stewardship activities to include thank you and discovery calls, face to face visits, mailings, invitations events.
• Responsible for revenue growth and successful recruitment of new corporate partnerships.
• Responsible for corporate partnership program including an aggressive and engaging partnership development and sponsorship strategy.
• Develop a comprehensive plan to manage relationships between event committee members to identify individual, corporate and foundation sponsors.
• Work with CEO, Senior Director of Development and Rally Gulf Coast Director to enhance the donor development program, identify prospects and solicit individuals and institutions.
• Responsible for achieving annual fundraising goal for Rally Gulf Coast.
• Explore new opportunities for revenue growth.
• Attend community networking events when appropriate.
• Engage and work with Rally families and Rally kids as needed.

Event Management

• Rally Gulf Coast signature events
• Assist in the successful planning and execution of events under the direction of Rally Events leadership team.
• Manage standing committees for each event and cultivate new relationships by providing leadership, acknowledgement, material support, and assistance in building and implementing committee plans
• Track income and expenses in an organized and efficient way to ensure achievement of revenue goals
• Achieve sponsorship revenue goals and ensure benefits are properly fulfilled.
• Assist with the development of and provide oversight and management on new events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree : preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field
• Proven Track record of raising funds from individuals and foundations.
• Demonstrated leadership with strategic, policy, and budget planning experience.
• An understanding of principles and techniques of Development activities, giving, and event planning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing environments and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, networking, facilitation and management skills; work both independently and within a team-oriented structure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, negotiations and effective communication with diverse audiences, including the ability to speak persuasively.
• Must be comfortable and confident to independently speak to small and large groups.
• Internet research savvy.
• Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and approach, including solutions to complex issues. Exercise good judgment and decision making.

Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to reason, think creatively, and problem solve.

• Position requires absolute confidentiality and professionalism in appearance, attitude and presentation.
• A self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals timely and without day-to-day supervision.
• Database management and computer literacy (Microsoft Office), Salesforce experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Available minimum of 40 hours a week
• Ability to work some nights and weekends
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

This position s to the Senior Director of Development. This position is based Pensacola but will include building relationships across the Gulf Coast.
