D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Office Assistant for the Bay Area Division. The right candidate will provide administrative support with the daily activities of the Division including ordering supplies, telephone coverage, and general clerical assistance for all departments.

This position will be on-site in the San Ramon office and will to the Division HR Manager. The salary range for this position is $23 – $25 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer the office front door and greet visitors. Sign for Fedex, USPS, and UPS packages.
• Receive, open, date stamp and distribute all US Mail. Post all outgoing US Mail.
• Scan utility statements and invoices and send them to the appropriate recipient.
• Own the main phone line and distribute voicemails to each department as needed
• Create and manage conference room schedules
• Prepare outgoing FedEx Shipments
• Order and stock all office supplies
• Create and maintain a schedule for supply and snack orders
• Restock kitchen and conference room refrigerators
• Maintain neat appearance of lobby, reception desk, kitchen, and conference rooms.
• Place Orders for Field Staff (i.e. – Cintas, Water, Business Cards, General Office Supplies, etc.)
• Review and Code GL invoices in Docusphere
• Keep track of spending and budgets for office supplies and Division events
• Obtain and submit documents for New Vendor set-ups
• Prepare check requests, as needed
• Arrange for any type of building maintenance that is required on an as needed basis
• Assist the HR Manager in planning and coordinating Division events
• Deliver messages and run errands.
• Any other day-to-day needs of the Division Office, as assigned
• Provide administrative support to various departments
• Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Six months to one year of related experience and / or training
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
• Proficiency with MS Office and email

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
