BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As the Director, Engineering in the WiFi Hardware Engineering organization, you will have the following day-to-day responsibilities :

• Lead and represent the team in device development and certification technology contributions to the wider WiFi Engineering organization and to other parts of Charter.
• Manage a team of technical resources to include full time employees and contractors toward the creation, presentation, delivery and maintenance of those technology contributions.
• Represent the team expertise and knowledge base to other parts of Charter, related to WiFi technology and products, through executive level communication
• Deliver organizational and administrative guidance, including documentation and presentations related to the allocation of resources and delivery of outcomes at executive levels.
• Maintain and adapt transparent ing of resource allocation, workstream definition and alignment with the Charter portfolio, and progress toward outcome achievement.
• Maintain team budget guidance and usage, including creation of justification and usage ing
• Mentor individual contributors and managers in how to succeed at Charter and within the WiFi Hardware Engineering organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience :
• Management experience – 7+ years of experience
• Engineering experience and / or network operations – 10+ years of experience
• Project management experience – 2+ years of experience
• Education : Master’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills : To be completed during / after intake.
• Skills :
• Advanced Knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and Telephony.
• In-depth knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory.
• In-depth knowledge of Electronic theory.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal Communications Commission regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of Fiber Optic theory.
• In-depth knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code.
• Abilities :
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
• Ability to supervise and motivate others.
• Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
• Travel Ability : Travel as required.
• Schedule : Full time. This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Knowledge of company products and services.
• Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.) Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT / E).

The pay for this position has a salary range of $138,800.00 to $246,400.00 . The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.

Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
