OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To lead the North American and Mexican sales operation. Managing the sales process of customer prospect, quotation, order processing and after sales through a combination of leading a team of field-based sales representatives and a team of office based internal sales teams. To create a strategic sales plan identifying growth sectors and channels for Batt cables and determining the “gaps to win” and investments required to deliver growth in the Noth American cables and accessories market.
The role holder will manage all aspects of the sales process including specifically creating KPIs and review processes to ensure targets are being met and if not, corrective actions are in place to deliver the goals. Specifically, the role holder will determine the pricing strategy and product offer and will be expected to provide operations and the Board with regular sales forecasts and analysis of performance.
As part of the Batt Operational Board, the role will be involved in the consideration of the overall company strategic direction and will be expected to form viewpoints and opinions regarding strategic direction, strategic choices, investments, efficiency and return on investment of agreed strategic initiatives. Supported by the Executive Chair, the role holder will be self-sufficient and able to provide advice and analysis to the Executive Chair.
