Primary Purpose
Provides supervision, guidance, and technical assistance to campus teachers while expanding and refining through professional learning. Works as a colleague with teachers to support student learning, teacher practice and provide instructional support based on the individual needs of students. Oversees assigned student activities and services.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree, preferred
Texas Principal Or Other Appropriate Texas Certificate, Preferred
Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD), preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of campus operations
- Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Knowledge of graduation requirements and support services for students
- In depth understanding of college and military services as well as career technical education principles and process.
- Ability to interpret data
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience
3 years experience as a classroom teacher
